Dear Friends and Clients:
On behalf of all of us at Popescu Law Group, we hope this message finds you well during this difficult and unprecedented time we are experiencing together. Like many of you, we have been closely monitoring the news around the COVID-19 pandemic and its everchanging impact around the world and in our own communities. As this challenging situation continues to evolve, the safety and well-being of our staff, clients, colleagues and their families remains our top priority.
We assure you that PLG remains fully committed to client service. We plan to continue operating with fully operational remote technology and infrastructure, as and when needed, to provide uninterrupted service. To prevent needless exposure resulting from inter-personal contact, High Definition Video and/or audio conferencing is available to you at all times. Through these state of the art methods, we are able to conduct all client meetings, conferences and preparatory sessions. You may simply e-mail or call the office to schedule a conference of your own choice.
We continue to monitor closely all state and federal court scheduling and closings, and work closely with our messenger and legal delivery and process servers to ensure continued operations seamlessly whenever electronic filing is not possible.
Popescu Law Group has implemented a right-to-work-from-home policy for our office employees while also providing flexible schedule arrangements for a combination of in-office/remote work environments. We have instructed staff, of counsel attorneys and colleagues to stay home if they are not feeling well, or if they simply feel safer doing so and provided guidance with respect to members of their household. We also temporarily put a hold on all our meetings, mediations, arbitrations, seminars, external training and non-essential court appearances in those few courts in which appearances remain possible. Most courts are effectively shut down and inaccessible for any personal appearances. Much of the legal infrastructure is now rapidly moving towards video and telephonic conferences and appearances. Transmission of documents may be made seamlessly in a digitalized format or by mail. Fortunately, most courts had already transitioned to electronic filing and therefore pleadings may continue to be filed remotely.
We are fully equipped to handle any meeting remotely to ensure continuity with business operations and to deliver the quality client service you expect from us. We are and will continue to be in uninterrupted communication with our clients and be sensitive to their requests and preference to conduct meetings in-person when feasible, remotely via video and/or audio conferencing, or, postpone if necessary.
We hope that you remain safe and healthy during these coming weeks as we will continue to monitor this situation and provide additional updates as they occur.
Best wishes, Popescu Law Group
